Star Cinema vs GMA Films
Two days ago, so I could pass the time until my next appointment, I watched both Let the Love Begin and Dreamboy consecutively (Yes, i was alone. Don’t get too surprised like some who have heard of this did.. This is natural for me. ^_^). Curiousity got the better of me as to which movie is better than which movie ever since they started promoting both films. I just had to find out which one is better! But as a more loyal Kapamilya, prior to watching, I was actually leaning a little bit towards Star Cinema’s film. But after watching both, I completely changed my mind.

If you haven’t watched both films, I’m guessing you would want to hear of my opinion?

Well, each movie has its own pros and cons.. but let’s just say, if you want to see a lovestory other than what we usually encounter in Pinoy films, watch Dreamboy (though truth is, it really just reminded me so much of The Truman Show — pardon me for giving out spoilers); but if you want to feel ‘kilig’ to go with this Valentine season’s fever, go with Let the Love Begin. The Richard-Angel and Mark-Jennilyn tandems are effective in giving the viewers the warm fuzzy feeling they paid to get. Believe me. They don’t hoot and shriek that loud in cinemas!

So which do I like better? Hmm… theme song-wise? I’m forever a Kyla fan. haha. *hums the song, Let the Love Begin*

I’ll tell you though.. it was funny the way I was in front of the ticket booth to pay for my ticket, as if telling the ticket lady to Let the Love Begin.. But I realized it would’ve been funnier if I opted to watch Shall We Dance! :)
