On Memory Gap, Peekvid, Mighty Ducks and Being a Couch Patatas
You know how it is when you suddenly think of a favorite movie you’ve seen when you were young and yet you can barely remember what is was about? Well, that happens to me a lot. My memory’s always been very uncooperative. And it’s not just with movies too. I even forget significant events that happened not so long ago. I want to think this is a common thing for everyone, but since I know of some people who amazingly remember things down to the smallest detail (unbelievable!) I fear I, on the other hand, have some sort of mental deficiency. LOL. Bawal ang pork…
Anyhoo, I have a mental list (ironic, huh?) of movies I’ve seen when I was kid that I want to see again. This is because I want to find out why I liked them in the first place. Some of these movies are: The Neverending Story, Return to Oz, Little Giants, The Land Before Time (this one I remember… I remember how hard it made me cry, that is!!), Back to the Future series, Ninja Turtles series (not the cartoons), Curly Sue, Ghostbusters, etc.
Thanks to the generosity of Peekvid, I was able to see some old films again! The video quality is not so great, but hey I’m not complaining! As long as viewing is free, I’ve got no problems. LOL. I spent the last 3 nights in a row watching the Mighty Ducks trilogy. My brothers and I luuuved it when it first became a hit. And since I hardly remember the first two installments, I spent some time watching them again. Joshua Jackson (Charlie Conway) as a kid is so cute. But he’s not my favorite Duck — Adam Banks is. :P
I’m such a couch potato. Sometimes I’d rather stay home and watch something good on TV (er, i mean, computer) than being outside (think of the money I can save!). It’s more relaxing that way (and fun, in a different way) Recently, Peekvid has been a stress-reliever, perfect for when I come home all exhausted from work. The list of movies, TV shows, cartoons and animes found in their website is awesome. All the more I am convinced I don’t need to save up for some television. LOL.
