Have you seen any one of the videos at HappySlip.com lately? They’re all hilarious! No wonder the website won the Best Podcast Award in the recent Philippine Blog Awards. Christine, the girl behind HappySlip Productions, is one talented lady. Not only is she a great scriptwriter, she’s also a confident, unpredictably witty, and eloquent actress. Get this, she plays all the characters in her videos (except for a few where she included some of her friends), and she edits the videos herself. She’s so great that she even won 2nd place for YouTube Best Comedy Video Award. Not to mention, she sings and plays the guitar really well, she’s a Christian, and she’s really pretty. I’m sure her male fans are all going gaga. LOL. I was reading through her About page hoping to read something about her being a Filipina, but couldn’t find any. But I figured she must be. Why else would she be nominated (and be hailed a winner) at the Philippine Blog Awards ’07? :D

Here’s an excerpt from her About page.

What is a Happy Slip?
While growing up, my mom was always quick to remind me to wear a half slip with my skirts. She would say “Your hap eslip!! Be sure to wear your hap eslip!!”. So I grew up thinking – the term was always “happy slip”, until I was corrected by classmates who asked me if I had a sad slip as well.

“Hap Eslip”!! Her mom really must be Filipina! Just like her mom, my dad pronounces the letter “F” as “ep”. He sang the alphabet song to me when I was a kid this way, “Ey bi si di eeh ep gi…”. LOL.

This video by HappySlip really cracks me up! It’s a bit long but it’s really worth watching. I’m sure you’re gonna love it. ;)

I first saw it on Mae’s Multiply. Thanks, Mae! :cute:
